Workstations
Plug-and-play workstations with external displays and peripherals for project development and testing.
Established in 2024 within Ci2 at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, Ci2 DataLab supports BSc and MSc students in developing software and data-driven solutions for institutional, regional, and research contexts.
Ci2 DataLab is an applied laboratory where students develop software and data science projects under supervision.
The lab focuses on identifying concrete needs and developing practical solutions using software engineering and data science, in contexts ranging from institutional systems to research prototypes.
Some projects are linked to funded R&D activities. In these cases, the lab contributes through the development of prototypes that support the validation and demonstration of research outcomes.
Ci2 DataLab provides a dedicated collaborative space (room i178), equipped with plug-and-play workstations, large shared displays, whiteboards, and other resources to support project development, teamwork, and brainstorming.
Plug-and-play workstations with external displays and peripherals for project development and testing.
Shared space supporting interaction and exchange between student projects.
Scheduled meetings with supervisors for progress monitoring and technical guidance.
Ci2 DataLab is integrated within Ci2 – Smart Cities Research Center at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, contributing to its research activities through the development of software prototypes and experimental systems.
